Daily Itinerary

day 1 (saturday - arrival)

Welcome to Italy!
Upon arrival at Rome airport please proceed through the Passport Control and collect your luggage inside the customs area. Transfer on your own to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the Eternal City. In the evening, meeting at the hotel with tour host which will provide information regarding the program and literature of the destination that are about to be visited.
Overnight in Rome.

day 2 sunday - rome (breakfast, dinner)

Breakfast
Spend the morning at leisure exploring Rome on your own, from Etruscan to Roman times, Medieval Churches and Renaissance palaces, Rome offers an incredible range of sights and experiences.
Afternoon visit to the Old Via Appia, S.Maria Maggiore, S. Giovani, Scala Santa and the Catacombs.
Rome is well known for its Trattoria and homemade pasta. Tonight you will enjoy a great dinner served in a traditional Roman Trattoria, away from the touristic crowds and amongst the locals.

day 3 monday – rome (breakfast)

After breakfast morning at leisure
In the afternoon transfer to the Vatican for a guided visit of the Museum. Vatican art and history have always left a profound impression on visitors to Rome: discover the masterpieces of Greek and Roman ancient art, works of Raphael, Michelangelo and Caravaggio, the Sistine Chapel and St Peter's Basilica.
After the tour ends return to the hotel by private coach.
Overnight in Rome.

day 4 tuesday – pompeii & vesuvius (breakfast)

Breakfast
Early morning transfer to Sorrento by private coach.
Upon arrival in Pompeii, meeting with the guide and to visit the ruins destroyed 2000 years ago by the eruption of Vesuvius. After the visit, free time for lunch.
In the afternoon transfer to the Vesuvius National Park up to 1000 meters. Possibility to take a 1 hour walk, with correct shoes, up 1200 meters to one of Europes active volcano's to see the charming bay of Naples.
Later continue to Sorrento. Check in at the Hotel and Overnight in Sorrento.

day 5 wednesday – the food experience (breakfast, lunch)

Breakfast
Spend the day visiting the Afeltra Pasta Maker where you will learn how to prepare pasta according to the old Italian recipes. At the end, continue to the Vesuvius and visit one of the most intriguing Farm Houses, located on the volcano, where vineyards and fruit trees grew facing the Gulf of Naples and Capri taking advantage of the rich soil. Have a real Farmer lunch then taste a glass of wine on the patio. Overnight in Sorrento.

day 6 thursday- amalfi coast (breakfast, dinner)

Breakfast
Today enjoy the picturesque town of Amalfi, an Ancient Maritime Republic and its magnificent Dome.
En route stop in Positano to visit the town. Late afternoon, return to Sorrento.
Dinner will be served at the hotel. Overnight in Sorrento.

day 7 friday – capri & anacapri (breakfast, dinner)

Breakfast
Meet your guide and transfer to the Sorrento piers for your excursion to the Island of Capri.
Visit Anacapri, a small village famous for the magnificent Villa San Michele.
Continue to Capri and enjoy lunch on your own.
Visit of the villages of Anacapri and Capri: Augusto Gardens, Via Tragara, la Piazzetta.
In the afternoon, transfer to Sorrento.
Return to the hotel and dinner. Overnight in Sorrento.

day 8 saturday - departure (breakfast)

Transfer on your own to Naples Airport or Railway Station
