Alberta Ciao Tours Inc. will always try to satisfy clients’ requirements. Nevertheless, we must reserve the right at any time to withdraw any application or to cancel any bookings made by clients. In such an event, no liability whatsoever in respect to such cancellation or withdrawal shall fall upon Alberta Ciao Tours Inc., save only that the moneys already paid by the clients in respect of the booking so cancelled or the application so withdrawn shall be refunded to them. Alberta Ciao Tours Inc. issues all tickets and books all transport arrangements and hotel accommodation reservations as an agent only upon the express condition that the client assumes all risk of personal injury, death, damage, accident, delay or property loss resulting from any cause whatsoever, including but not limited to the inherent risks of travel, as well any negligence on the part of Alberta Ciao Tours Inc. or its employees, agents or representatives, whether such injury, death, damage, accident, delay or property loss occurs before, during or after the tour. Cancellation Insurance is highly recommended. Accident and Medical Insurance is mandatory. Transportation companies whose services are features in these tours are not to be held responsible for any act, omissions or event during the time passengers are not on board their conveyance. The passage contract in use by these companies, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the companies and the passenger. Alberta Ciao Tours Inc. or its agents can assume no responsibility for lost tickets or coupons. All rates on foreign tours are subject to fluctuation of currency and may be changed when necessary without advanced notice prior to deposit. Baggage disclaimer: Although every effort is made to handle passengers' luggage as carefully as possible, Alberta Ciao Tours Inc. is not responsible for and does not assume liability or accept claims for loss or damage to luggage due to breakage, theft or wear and tear through hotel and group carrier handling.

 

Deposits & Payments

Deposit Schedule:

A $400.00 per person, non-refundable deposit is required for each packaged booked. The deposit is payable by cash (Canadian or American dollars), check or credit card. The deposit must be accompanied by a signed Reservation Form to confirm the booking. Please note that Ciao Tours bases all prices on the Euro Dollar. We guarantee the exchange rate into Canadian or US at the time of full payment or 45 days prior to departure when the balance of payment is required.

Cancellation Policy:

Should an individual cancel 45 days prior to the departure of the tour, the deposit will be forfeited. Cancellations made 44 -30 days prior to the departure are charged a penalty of 50% of the entire package. Cancellations less than 29 days prior to the departure are charged a penalty of 100% of the entire package. No shows will result in a penalty of 100% of the package price. Cancellations must be received by Ciao Tour's Canadian office in writing after the first notification by phone.

Please be advised that all monies collected for a Ciao Tour are held in “trust” to protect each client's interest. Should Ciao Tours be unable to forward the monies to the suppliers, it will be forwarded directly to the client enabling them to continue the tour on their own.

The “Fine Print”:

  • Prices and/or inclusions are subject to change
  • Unless otherwise stated, the room category included is Run of House
  • Unless otherwise stated, villa/apartment style lodging includes weekly maid service only
  • No refund or rain checks allowed on any unused tours
  • Ciao Tours reserves the right to change personnel & location of an activity when unforeseen circumstances arise.
  • Where seasonality causes low occupancy, some hotels may close certain facilities without prior notice.
  • The itinerary may be altered due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances that would affect the comfort of the participants.

Cancellation Insurance:

Trip Cancellation and Interruption Protection against penalties if any of the following occurrences prevent you from travelling:

  • Your injury, sickness or death (or your covered family, travelling companion, business associate or one who is caring for your dependents)
  • Jury duty, or being subpoenaed as a witness in a case being heard during the period of your trip
  • A disaster which makes your home uninhabitable
  • Death or hospitalization of your host at destination
  • A job transfer within 30 days of the scheduled departure date
  • The cancellation of a business meeting or conference
  • Rescheduling of a college or university exam
